The regional secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, has delivered this Friday in Dénia, together with the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, and the president of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (AEHTMA), Cristina Sellés, new distinctives of the Integral System of Spanish Tourism Quality in Destination (SICTED) to ten entities of the municipality.
In addition, another ten tourist services in the town have renewed their distinctive, thus reaching a total of 67 entities certified by the SICTED in the city, where hotels and tourist apartments, restaurants and tourist catering companies and housing for tourist use stand out. Also worthy of special mention are the beaches, active tourism companies, shops, museums and centers of tourist interest that can be visited in the destination. The distinguished companies of Dénia represent 11,51% of the total of the province of Alicante and 5,34 of the percentage of the Community.
During his speech, the regional secretary of Tourism has highlighted that "Dénia grows with this program"; claiming that "we are not worth just any growth, but one that guarantees us that both the public and private spheres take being a quality and professional destination seriously".
Along these lines, Colomer recalled that "we are the first community to commit to quality and this is the result of everyone's efforts". For this reason, she has emphasized that "the merit in this time has been wanting to endure, resist and even bet on achieving this recognition".
The head of Turisme has once again shown his "respect and admiration" for the companies and entities that this Friday have received the SICTED badge; For Colomer it is about "professionals who have maintained the desire and enthusiasm for this commitment to quality, for being certified as a key service for a destination like Dénia", he has concluded.
For his part, the mayor of the municipality, Vicent Grimalt, has highlighted "the contribution to the growth and prestige of Dénia as a destination for these companies that are committed to quality".
For Grimalt "this requirement of certified quality shows that more and more of us are defending the tourist values that represent Dénia, because we believe in the professionalism and capacity of this destination". In this line he has asserted that "Dénia is one of the destinations with the most recognition", while he has added that "this also poses a challenge for us to keep up".
Dénia entities that receive or renew the SICTED badge
The ten new services and companies in Dénia that have obtained the SICTED badge this Friday are: Celler Les Freses; Pink Hotel; La Sella Golf; The Xerna of the Sea; Magic & Nature; El Raset Restaurant; El Replanell Restaurant; Restaurant La Glorieta; Samaruc Restaurant and Tasca Ramonet.
In addition, ten local entities have renewed their certificate: Baleària.; Costablancarent.Es; denithai; Marines Frederick House; Luar, Author Jewelry; Mango Woman; Marina de Denia; Sea World; Restaurant Noguera y Holiday and wellness.
Comunitat Valenciana, first national destination in certified services
It should be remembered that the Valencian Community currently has 1.257 certified services with this SICTED quality label, which represents more than 20% nationally, positioning us as the first autonomous community in number of distinguished services.
Likewise, in 2021 the increase in the number of certified services in the Valencian Community has been close to 25%, compared to the 3,84% rise that has been experienced at the national level.
