Next Monday, October 18, the application period for municipal aid to cover the expenses of the school canteen during the 2021-2022 academic year will open. The educational cycles that are eligible for this call are 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. The period to request them will be extended until October 29.
The purpose of these municipal grants, which complement those already granted by the Generalitat, is to strengthen support for families and facilitate the reconciliation of work, educational and family life. They also recognize the social function that the school cafeteria plays to compensate for possible family, economic and socio-cultural deficiencies.
The father, mother or legal guardian of students who meet the following requirements can apply for these grants:
- Be registered in Dénia.
- Be enrolled in public and subsidized educational centers of Dénia, La Xara and Jesús Pobre.
- Have requested the help of the school canteen from the Ministry of Education and have obtained a score between 6 and 5 points.
Applications may be submitted through the Electronic Headquarters of the Dénia City Council (oac.denia.es) or in person at the General Registry of the Citizen Service Office by appointment.
The Dénia City Council allocates this year to this call for aid an item of € 30.000, € 10.000 more than in the previous year.
