The sports director of the Marina El Portet Fisheries section, Niko Lenarts, made the annual balance of the season that has just ended. Among the official competitions, the club was represented by the partners in the province of Alicante, the autonomous Valencia and the Spanish championship in Badalona, where he achieved good results.
As for the participation in the Open, the club was present at the Almería Activa de Carboneras, in the first edition of the Canal de la Fontana de Xàbia, the Nules National Solidarity Open, in the Portman Solidarity Tide, in the Castell de Dénia, and the first Barraqueta open in Valencia was planned for this year, which was finally postponed due to meteorological reasons.
In the social aspect, according to Lenarts words, “This year we have made the social by modalities, the chambel, jigging, trolling and the special cephalopods. We collaborate in the Kayaks against Plastic campaign, making an important collection of this material at Punta Raset beach ”.
After the end of the season, the club has already set its sights on what will be the next campaign. Thus, it is expected to compete in nine internal social: four by modalities and five generic. The dates of each social will coincide on the second Sunday of each month (except June, which will be the last and December will be the first).
Being by modalities, in February the chambel will be made, in May, the jigging, October, the trolling and in December, the cephalopod. They will also prepare with great effort the championship of Spain by clubs, which will be held on June 13 and 14, so the social this month will be postponed to the last weekend. No less important will the Open Castell de Dénia be expected to be held on September 12 and 13.
