Baleària strengthens its connections with Algeria during the summer

The shipping company Baleària has announced the expansion of its maritime connections with Algeria for the summer season, increasing its offer of three to five services per week in order to respond to the increase in demand for passengers and vehicles in these months.

Between June 15 and September 15, Baleària will operate three weekly routes from Valencia to Mostaganem, to which two additional routes from Barcelona are added: one with destination to Algiers and a new direct connection to OranThis latter route represents the company's second route from Barcelona to the North African country since it began operations in Algeria in 2016, thus consolidating its largest commercial offering to this destination to date.

Georges BassoulBaleària's CEO, Bassoul, underscored the importance of this expansion: "Maritime connectivity between Spain and Algeria is essential to ensuring the mobility of thousands of Algerians who wish to reunite with their families. Our commitment is to offer efficient, high-quality transportation between the two countries." Bassoul also expressed his gratitude to the Algerian authorities and port authorities for their collaboration in implementing this expansion.

For these services, the company will use two ferries equipped with a wide range of amenities tailored to the needs of passengers. These include: cabins, seats, cafeterias, restaurants with halal options and spaces for prayerBaleària also provides a telephone service in Arabic to facilitate communication with its customers.
