Good weekend for Dénia Básquet, where some teams made their debut after the break

07 2021 April - 13: 14

Three and a half months after the last match played by the senior women's team of the Dénia Básquet, the girls of Juan Luis Pérez they were able to resume the league once authorized by the Ministry of Health the return of regional competitions.

The team played a very serious game against Teulada, maintaining a good level in all the quarters both in defense and in attack, without giving any option to the hosts at any time. Teulada took refuge in zone 2-3 to try to stop the early differences achieved at the start of the game, but the success in the triple and the Dianense defense allowed them to dominate with authority gradually expanding the advantage on the scoreboard until the end of the match.

The FBCV proposes to close the first phase of this season's competition before Sunday, April 11, so that all teams will have to play their pending matches in the next few days, so that from the weekend of April 18, the phase of championships that will determine both the promotions to the National category and the titles of each of the categories in dispute, called Autonomous and Preferential.

The team will therefore close the first phase next Sunday, facing the Ondara team in Joan Fuster. A victory would guarantee the first place of the group and would give him access to fight for promotion to the National league.

Senior male 1st zone: Altea B 64 - 79 Dénia Básquet

The Senior Men's 1st Zone team resumed the competition interrupted by the pandemic on December 20.

The great unknown was to check in what state the team returned to activity after such a long interruption, since in this time the development of collective training has not been allowed, until just a few weeks ago.

The first part of the match confirmed that both teams were lacking in filming, accumulating more inaccuracies than desired.

Already in the second half, the Dianense team took advantage of their less physical wear thanks to the many rotations ordered from the bench, which resulted in rapid transitions that began to tip the balance on the side of Carlos Vila.

That freshness added to a remarkable success in the outside shot, led them to reach a difference of 10 points, an income that they could, not without difficulty, maintain until the end.

The victory consolidates the team, with four games remaining, at the top of the league.

Senior male 1st zone: Dénia Básquet 77 - 70 Sax

Match played on Sunday morning at Joan Fuster's pavilion, just fifteen hours after the game that the team had played the previous afternoon, against a demanding rival like Sax with similar characteristics to those of the Dianenses, who had the advantage of our effort that undoubtedly detracted from our freshness.

Despite this willingly accepted handicap to facilitate the movement of our rival given the urgency of dates to play pending matches set by the FBCV, the match started with a fairly dynamic game on the part of both teams.

After a very even start, it would be at the beginning of the second quarter when Dénia's team took advantage of the fact that the visitors lowered their rhythm a bit to endorse them with an 11-0 run.

Sax however, little by little, got back into the game reaching the end of the third quarter commanding by a point on the scoreboard.

A good partial at the start of the last quarter (+12) gave them an advantage that seemed to be enough. The visitors, however, kept working, and with success from the triple they approached four points within the last minute, but they no longer had any more options to complete the comeback.

The league is very open with many teams with options to advance to the second phase in the group that will fight for promotion. The first round of the league must conclude before April 25, then dividing the teams from each of the four 1st Zonal groups into two units, the first seven classified in search of promotion to Preferential playing a single round league play. the rest for the permanence.

Carlos Vila's team has two difficult outings to the fields of Oliva and Enguera, and a single home game no less complicated against Xàtiva, a team with whom they currently share the lead in the standings.

Alevín feminine level 2: Pedreguer 43 - 57 Dénia Básquet 09

On a day like the last one, back to the competitions, the result obtained did not matter much compared to the great illusion that the two teams gave off, which combined with a certain nervousness led to the fact that they played more with the heart than with the head in many phases of the encounter.

The locals went all out as the qualification for the second phase of the league was at stake, so it was possible to experience a tremendously even and emotional match, which was not decided until the last quarter.

In the last minutes, a favorable partial (+8) for Carlos Vila's girls ended up deciding victory and mathematically giving the team the lead.

It only remains to play one day to close the first phase and then from May 9 they will play the promotion league in groups of four teams, which will give way to the final qualifiers.

National male senior: Ilicitano 83 - Dénia Básquet 42

First quarter very even with alternation in the dominance on the scoreboard by both teams, in which Bernardo Sanz's men were very successful in attack and intense in defense, thus being able to stand up to locals who are aspiring to promotion to Liga EBA this course.

In the second quarter the local team increased the intensity and, although it began to get short advantages, the Dianenses were able to stay in the game by playing with discipline on the field working together.

After the break, however, the increase in local dominance in a clearer way, made them unable to maintain the tone, and the worst thing was that they disappeared from the court allowing the home team to play at ease. Once again, they stopped playing collectively, which led to their percentages falling further, leading to a tough defeat from which once again they will not be able to do anything but learn.

To highlight the debut of junior Pablo Castera with the team doing an excellent job on the court.

Autonomous male junior: Dénia Básquet 44 - 69 Lucentum Foundation

Game played in many phases in which Dénia Básquet faced a superior team such as Lucentum from Alicante, with very good actions in both parts of the field.

They started the match with the scoring until the 14th minute, at which point the visitors increased their pace of play and began to do more damage under the hoops with second and third options as a result of their physical superiority.

In the second half the difference reached twenty points, but the team had the capacity to react, reducing it in the absence of five minutes to thirteen points thanks to a great attitude and defensive activity.

A last quarter of 0-10 in the last two minutes left the final result in a difference surely greater than what they deserved, which does not allow us to appreciate the work carried out by the group on the field.

The game was interrupted for forty minutes by the serious injury in the second quarter of the excellent visiting player Carlos Esquiva in a game action. The host club regretted what happened and wished him a quick recovery that would allow him to return to the playing fields as soon as possible to continue enjoying this sport.
