Last night of the campaign and moment of celebration. The different political parties of Dénia already have the job done and it only remains to wait to reap the fruits next Sunday. In fact, many have finished just minutes after their final speech before supporters, militants and neighbors in general at the different events they have prepared.
It has been two long weeks of the campaign, which, as always, are delimited by two traditional events: the hanging of posters and the end-of-campaign party. Some, the latter, are celebrated in the streets (since time has forgiven), such as PSPV, Party, Compromís o Gent of Dénia. There has even been a rock concert on La Via street organized by the EU and ERPV coalition. Others celebrated it at their headquarters or places of trust, with the teams with which they have worked so hard these days.
The Socialists, who come from their best result but are willing to repeat it, have celebrated it in the Paris-Camp Roig neighborhood, on Sagunt street, where the current mayor and candidate, Vicent Grimalt, surrounded by his team, addressed those present one last time to thank them for their work and encouraging them to go vote on Sunday. "We have carried out a campaign like the ones we always do, close and with respect for others," says Grimalt. And how do you expect Sunday? "Always excited and convinced of the work we have done."
Nearby, in Les Portelles, Compromís has gathered its supporters offering music and a picaeta to say goodbye to the 2023 campaign. "We have done everything in our power, from humility and dialogue," declared the candidate Rafa Carrió. "It has been the campaign with which I have felt most comfortable, because we have reached the people." In addition, he has been very happy with his team: "I am proud."
Pepa Font He has chosen the Plaça del Consell to place his stage and deliver a last speech with which he hopes for the final push to achieve the best result, calling for "the useful vote". For the popular candidate, it has been a "long and intense" campaign, but in which she claims to have transmitted "another way of governing." "We hope that on the 28th we will have the answer at the polls," Font pointed out.
