The center is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00, except holidays.

Services

Unlike the Joan Fuster Health Center, there is no Emergency Service. The Dénia Public Health Center is in charge of:

Control of food and collective canteens
Health education at school and at work
vaccinations
Early diagnosis of breast and colon cancer
Control of supplies and drinking water networks
Chemical safety and control of biocides and pesticides
Follow-up of occupational diseases
Interventions in the face of epidemic outbreaks and pandemics (in charge of tracking the coronavirus since 2020)
Food poisoning

Evolution

It began operating in 1989 with the Hygiene and Food Safety Units, Epidemiological Surveillance, Health Promotion and Programs, Public Health Laboratory and Environmental Health. In 1995, the Occupational Health Unit was incorporated, and the Breast Cancer Prevention Unit in 1998.

This building was initially located the Directorate of Primary Care and Mental Health Units and Family Counseling, moved to its current premises in 1999 and 2009 respectively.
