"When it went wrong, it was fought in an exceptional way": PSPV and AEHTMA strengthen their ties and make a positive assessment of the legislature

Francesc Colomer, Regional Secretary of Tourism, and Herick Campos, General Director of Tourism, and Vicent Grimalt, current mayor and Councilor for Tourism of Dénia, as well as candidate of the Socialists for Mayor, have met this afternoon with a broad representation of the Association of Tourism Entrepreneurs and Innkeepers of the Marina Alta (AEHTMA). The room at the AEHTMA headquarters for said meeting was full. Few associates have missed it. It is not for less, because with a day as decisive as the electoral one just around the corner, there are many interests in establishing or strengthening alliances to face the future four years.

The reason for the meeting, as Grimalt commented at the end, was to make an assessment of what this legislature has been. And said assessment, by those involved in the meeting, has been very positive, "especially taking into account the work done during the pandemic," said the mayor.

Francesc Colomer, for his part, highlighted the work carried out by the association to promote Dénia as a tourist destination, "because when things go well everything has relative merit", commented the secretary, "but when it went wrong, because everything has gone bad for a long time, this association fought in an exceptional way to make possible the arrival, the pedagogy and the incorporation of companies, to the aid that we had articulated among all ».

Cristina Sellés, the president of AEHTMA, also thanked the work of the Colomer and Grimalt departments, recalling that they have been years that started very well with the recognition of the Creative City of Gastronomy, collaboration having been very easy. But, above all, she wanted to thank them for the support they received during the pandemic. "It is hard to say that a politician is like the beacon of the business sector," said Sellés, emphasizing: "he has been our beacon."
