This weekend, Dénia and Llosa de Ranes will host the only professional pilota matches to be held in the Valencian Community since the Valencian Pilota Federation decreed the suspension of all competitions and club and school activities, following the DANA that seriously affected numerous Valencian towns last week.
With the collaboration of the Dénia Pilota Club and the Dénia City Council, on Sunday, November 10, the following events will be held: trinquet The Rovellet the semi-finals of the Caixa Popular Pro1 scale i corda Cup. At 16:30 p.m., De la Vega and Conillet, from Orba, will face Salva Palau, Pere and Bueno, from Meliana. At 18:30 p.m., the second semi-final will be played between the Montserrat team, made up of Marc and Hilari, and the La Nucia team, with the players Pere Roc II, Salva and Carlos.
Tickets cost 12 euros and can be purchased on the day, 1 hour before. The matches will be for charity, and the proceeds will go to those affected by the DANA. In addition, the Valencian Pelota Federation has set up a zero-row for those who wish to contribute to this charity action and cannot travel to the two locations where the matches will be played.
For its part, Dénia City Council is providing the El Rovellet facilities for the match and, together with the Dénia Pelota Club, will assume the costs of the day so that all the money raised will be donated to the affected populations.
The players and fans of the trinquete have always been supportive in these situations, thanks to the players and thanks to the public to BN for playing.
