The 9th edition of the Roscón de Reyes Race Marina Dénia, organized by the Club de Rem Marina Dénia, will be held on January 7. “This year is the 9th test again since last year we had to cancel it due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But we return to normality and we maintain the tradition of doing the first race of the year of the Marina Alta. From here to show gratitude and recognition to the Marina Dénia Rowing Club for its exemplary behavior and for all the activities they carry out ”, commented Gabriel Martínez, captain-director of Marina Dénia.
The test will begin at 11:00 am and from 10:00 am the numbers will be delivered. The first turn is made from Marina Dénia to the port entrance roundabout, to then go up the breakwater promenade. And, the second round is reached until the Marineta Casiana. In total they run five kilometers. Registration is now open, through conxip.com and costs six euros. 500 people may participate. "It is a distance that everyone likes and that anyone can do," said Michel Letellier, from the Marina Dénia Rowing Club.
First of all, the new category, Can Run, will begin, with which participants are offered to run with their canine pet. And, later, the rest of the categories: Children, Youth, Senior and Veterans, masculine and feminine. The three winners of each category will be awarded with a roscón de reyes. There will also be a special prize for pets.
“We have extended to the 7th, but it will also be the first test of the Marina Alta. And this year we really want to do it and there are already many people who have signed up ”, said Edu Alberola, from the Marina Dénia Rowing Club.
