Dénia, among the favorite tourist destinations, although more expensive, this Easter

04 2023 April - 11: 09

Holy Week is one of the seasons with the greatest influx of visitors on the coast of the Marina Alta. In Dénia, this population growth has been noticeable since last weekend, with the streets, restaurants and shops full. Even in the beaches people could be seen. It is not surprising, because this year the city has become one of the favorite destinations for tourists on the Costa Blanca. Although it is also one of the most expensive, but there are some in the Marina Alta that are even more expensive.

The Holidu vacation rental and apartment portal has analyzed the prices and occupancy of the different regions of Spain during Easter, confirming the preference of Spaniards for local tourism on our coast. Alicante leads the list with 87% occupancy, followed by Altea, Torrevieja, Dénia and Xàbia. The occupation of Dénia is at 80%.

From this list, Dénia stands out for being the most "cheap" destination, but, despite this, it continues to be one of the most expensive municipalities in the area. Staying in the capital of the Marina Alta has an average price of 88 euros per night, while in the neighboring towns of Benidorm the price stands at 124 euros and Xàbia at 131.

The current tourist offer in Dénia is very wide, being able to find everything from luxurious villas with private pools to apartments in the heart of the city. Among its greatest attractions, visitors especially appreciate its extensive sandy beaches, its marina and its wide gastronomic offer. But there are also more and more people coming to enjoy the rich history of the city, its archaeological remains and its impressive castle.

naturally like your web-site but you have to check the spelling on several of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very troublesome to tell the truth nonetheless I'll surely come back again.

Denia, full of bad drivers from all places, pedestrians who have no eyes to see or common sense to stop. How long before a death or bad injury from these idiots!

  3. Gary Walker says:

Build a large, ugly rectangular monstrosity by the port. That should help reduce the number of tourists!

  4. Dani says:

    Dénia has been disgraced.
Containers with buttons and necessary use of a card to open it and throw out the garbage.
A Bus Station with closed toilets and benches in the sun and rain. It has hardly any area to cover.
A train station that you have to get the ticket through a machine.
In Creama they no longer post job offers and the courses that are available are worth €100 and up.
You can no longer go unemployed because the offers and courses are posted online.
You can't walk around the port without being called out by a guard for sitting somewhere.
There is hardly any help for people with few resources and transport, little (one bus for Jávea and another for Jalón) and expensive (€3 per ticket).
And on top of that, instead of fixing this, they ask you to go on an electric scooter. And if you don't see what?
And what little work there is is in the towns.
And the mayor doesn't give a damn about this, and the government more.
From the Democratic Coalition we ask for the resignation of Grimalt and the immediate banning of the PP.
Because this cannot be and if you want to live it cannot be because this system will get worse in less than a year.
As for the Office of Citizen Strategy, they should close it.

Each vacation rental is one home less. Don't come crying about the housing shortage.
