Dénia is already closer to having its long-awaited Animal Welfare Table

27 October 2022 - 11: 56

The regulations of the Animal Welfare Table have been unanimously approved today in plenary session. Its implementation, when it is definitively approved after its exposure to the public, will lead to the creation of the Sectoral Council for Animal Welfare.

The Table will meet, if there is no urgent matter, quarterly, and its function will be to submit proposals to full and encourage the active participation of citizens and social entities. The representatives will work on proposing modifications to the 'Municipal Animal Protection Ordinance', the drafting of protocols for collecting animals, reporting abuse, adoption and possession, and the control of colonial felines, as well as promoting awareness in schools.

Who will be part of the Animal Welfare Table?

The members of the Table will be chosen by the mayor, always counting on a representative of the local Police; a representative of each political party with municipal representation; the councilors and technicians of the departments of Citizen Protection, Ecological Transition and the Environment; responsible for the Environmental-Marine and Fishing Service of the Town Hall; representatives of the veterinary union, local associations and the Montgó Natural Park. There will also be those groups, companies or people with experience or specialized in the matters on the agenda, provided they are proposed by the chair of the table.

The presidency of the Board will be held by the councilor delegated from the competent municipal area, in this case Eva Round. The president will act as moderator and convener. On the other hand, the vice presidency will be assumed by the councilor chosen by the mayor.

Once the text is approved, it will be made available to the public in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP) so that the 30-day period for submitting complaints and suggestions begins. If allegations were presented within this period, the regulation would go through the Plenary again; if not, it will come into force.

Yet another beach bar while in the EU they wonder how we spend the money they lend us. Well, in this, gentlemen, in this. By the way, the loans are repaid with very high interest….the debt is enormous and every day they expand it more.
