Dénia keeps a minute of silence in memory of the latest victims of gender violence

15 July 2024 - 13: 13

The Dénia City Council has called, today at 12:00 p.m., a minute of silence as a sign of rejection for the crimes of two women murdered at the hands of their partners in the Valencian Community, during the weekend.

Juliana Denise Vinuesa, was murdered by her partner in Buñol, on Saturday, July 13, she was 31 years old. She had reported her partner for mistreatment and was in the VioGén network. Yesterday, Sunday, July 14, a 36-year-old Russian woman was murdered in Alicante by her husband with a shotgun.

Members of the Municipal Corporation have gathered at the doors of the town hall to show their condemnation, rejection and rejection of these new cases of gender violence. The Dénia City Council thus shows mourning and solidarity towards the victims and their families, expressing zero tolerance against violence against women.

And apart from a few minutes of silence and little flags on the balcony.
What does the progressive city council do or recommend to the progressive government that has been governing since 2018?

They are already doing it, lowering the penalties for rapists and abusers.
But it seems that they don't learn.
      Long live progress!!!!!!!!!!!!
