Dénia has had a beach library service since 2021. It began to be provided in the Marineta Cassiana and the following year another point was installed on Albaranes beach. It offers users a free daily press consultation service and the lending of books, both for children and adults, by the sea.
For the second consecutive year, the Career Guidance Service for people with functional diversity of Creama Dénia has collaborated with Grupo Eulen, the company awarded the rescue service, first aid, help with adapted bathrooms and other actions in the beaches of Dénia, in the hiring of personnel who serve the biblioplayas. For summer 2024, a total of 7 people with functional diversity have been hired, who will serve from June 15 to September 30.
The Marineta Cassiana and Albaranes beach libraries are open every day of the week, from 9:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. and from 17:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m.
This is a service coordinated by the Dénia Public Library (Department of Culture), with the collaboration of the Department of Beaches, which provides the wooden houses where the beach library is installed each year, and the Department of Creama, which collaborates in the hiring of personnel.
The councillors for these areas, Raúl Garcia (Culture), Pepe Doménech (Beaches) and maria jose garcia (Creama) visited the Marineta beach library today, where they were able to greet the staff covering the morning shift.
