The fifth edition of the Provincial Kayak Fishing Championship will be held in Dénia next Sunday, March 28. The event is convened by the Valencian Community Fishing Federation and organized by the Marina el Portet de Dénia Kayak Fishing Sports Club, under the supervision of the Specialty Committee. In this competition there is a lot at stake, since one of the great novelties will be that the provincial champion will have a direct pass to the National Championship, so the competition is expected to be close.
The provincial championship, which was scheduled to be held last Sunday, had to be suspended due to bad weather, so the thirty-six participants who will meet in the new call trust that the weather is stable and allows the celebration.
Athletes are scheduled to meet at the Sport Water Center in Marina El Portet from eight in the morning to start the competition. The awarding of trophies will depend on the arrival time of the participants, however it will take place between 13:14 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.
The Kayak Fishing section chaired by Niko Lenarts is looking forward to this test that will be very important for the regional championship, since since last season the local members have not been able to contest any scoring test. Of the thirty-six participants, eleven will be from Club Marina El Portet and they hope to reap good results at home.
