The National Police have recently arrested in Dénia a man wanted in Poland and on whom a European Detention Order for Extradition (OEDE) weighed for crimes of robbery with violence and drug trafficking.
The arrest of this fugitive occurred by agents of the Dénia Citizen Security Brigade after being identified in the Documentation Office of the Police Station itself.
When the agents consulted the National Police databases, they verified that the Polish authorities were looking for him with the OEDE included. Due to said crimes committed, he was sentenced to two years and ten months in prison.
According to the arrest warrant, the arrested man was tried by the Polish authorities and sentenced to prison for committing a violent robbery causing injury to the victim, in addition to trafficking marijuana, for which he would have to serve the prison sentence. imposed upon having been found guilty of the aforementioned offences.
The detainee, a 29-year-old man, was made available to the Central Court of Instruction of the National Court, the body in charge of carrying out the procedures for his subsequent extradition.
