The Dénia City Council approves the modification of the tax ordinances

18 December 2023 - 15: 53

In an extraordinary and urgent plenary session held this afternoon, the Dénia City Council has given final approval to the modification of the tax ordinances, after dismissing the allegations presented by the municipal group of the Party during the public exhibition period. The vote received the support of the groups PSPV y Compromís, while the Popular Party, Vox and Gent of Dénia They spoke out against it.

The rejection of the allegations is based on the report prepared by the general administration technique of Economic Services. In relation to the modification of the tax ordinance of the Real Estate Tax, which contemplates an increase in the tax rate for urban real estate of 1,05%, the report maintains that the increase "is within the legal limits and, therefore Therefore, it conforms to the law. In this way, the Popular group's request to reduce the coefficient to 0,80% was rejected, and the planned increase was approved.

Regarding the allegation that sought the elimination of the IBI surcharge on permanently unoccupied residential properties, the report indicates that this surcharge included in the modification of the tax ordinances "conforms to the law", as it is contemplated in the Text Recast of the Local Treasury Law.

The approved modification establishes that a surcharge of 50% of the net IBI quota will be applied for those properties for residential use unoccupied for two years. If unemployment exceeds two years, the surcharge can reach 100%.

Regarding the requests for IBI rate discounts for large families and the discount for properties where economic activities declared of special interest or municipal utility are carried out, as well as the proposal to establish an Aid Plan for families on their habitual residence, all included in the group's allegations PPThe Economic Services report indicates that "the interested parties raise an ex novo issue not contemplated in the ordinance in question," although it could be considered in future modifications.

Likewise, the report argues that the intended incorporation of the tax bonus on the Increase in value of urban land of up to 99% should be rejected, since the Revised Text of the Local Treasury Law establishes a bonus limit up to 95%, and therefore, the 99% bonus requested by the Popular Party "would not be in accordance with the law."

Finally, a modification has been introduced in the tax ordinance for the Mechanical Traction Vehicle Tax (article 5, section 2), which contemplates a bonus of 75% of the tax quota for zero-emission vehicles and 0% for Eco vehicles, in order to reduce their environmental impact.

This mayor and his partners don't know how to do anything else, raise and raise taxes, yes, the gypsies lie in the street and nothing happens (in front of the Casa Fernando Restaurant), the streets are made up of a pigsty... and it makes people waste money. the neighbors spent more than a million euros on a plot of land in the center of Denia (repurchase of the land) and now they are spending another money on making a park... I'm telling you, you can't do it with their money, dear park, Mr. Mayor, But, since we all pay for it, then, it's up to you to spread and raise taxes.

As Javier Milei says, the first problem for citizens is politicians. It doesn't surprise me that the socialists... haven't even called him, what are they going to live on if they don't know how to do anything at all.

And they argue ""...99% should be rejected, since the Consolidated Text of the Local Finance Law establishes a bonus limit of up to 95%, and therefore, the 99% bonus requested by the Popular Party "would not be adjusted to law." THEN YOU GIVE A BONUS ACCORDING TO THE LAW UP TO 95%, BUT DON'T INCREASE IT MORE… Oh my goodness!! What Rulers we have!!!!!

  3. Omniway says:

A good administrator, ruler or manager of public or collective goods is one who achieves the best services for taxpayers with the least possible money, and success in his management is directly related to the possibilities of reducing taxes so that each family or taxpayer has the greatest purchasing power to spend money as appropriate.
But if you do not govern thinking about that and govern yourself thinking like the old feudal lords, this will not happen and we neighbors end up working for the administrators, which is what is happening, and it should not be like that.
We have a city council with a surplus and our taxes continue to rise. This is inexplicable.
