The Dénia Swimming Club shines at the Winter Regional Championships and achieves a historic silver medal.

El Dénia Swimming Club The club had an outstanding performance at the Regional Winter Championships, held on February 22 and 23 at the Esperanza Lag swimming pool in Elche. The Dianense club competed with nine swimmers, marking a milestone in its history, and achieved satisfactory results that reaffirm its aspirations for the rest of the season.

Despite the high level of participants in this important sporting event, the Dénia Swimming Club focused its goals on improving personal bests and getting closer to the top spots in the various events.

The team competed in 31 individual events and participated in all relay events, including the men's, women's, and mixed categories.

The star of the Dianense club was Arturo Lizón, who won a silver medal in the 50-meter backstroke, in addition to achieving the minimum mark required to participate in the Spanish Children's Championship, which will be held in Pontevedra from March 13 to 16. In addition, Arturo Lizón finished fourth in the 100-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke, and fifth in the 50-meter freestyle.

Other notable results included:

  • Alexandra Alapont, fifth in the 50m freestyle, finishing just two-tenths off the national minimum, in addition to achieving three personal bests (PBs).
  • Diego Marfil, seventh in the 50m freestyle, less than a second off the national minimum, with four MMPs.
  • Rocío Lozoya, seventh in the 50m freestyle and 400m medley, achieving a MMP.
  • Santiago Luquez, eighth in 100 butterfly, with two MMP.
  • Nassim Mounaouir, ninth in the 200 breaststroke, with an MMP.
  • Carol Parra, seventh in 200 breaststroke.
  • Esther Parra, sixteenth in 50 butterfly and 50 breaststroke, with a MMP.
  • María Enguix participated in two relay events, contributing effort and commitment to the team.

In the relay events, the women's team finished ninth in the 4x100 freestyle, while the men's team finished eleventh.

These results allowed Club Natació Dénia to achieve sixteenth place in the men's overall standings and nineteenth in the women's standings, a result that fills the club with optimism and energy as it faces the final stretch of the season with enthusiasm.
