Dénia's commerce brings in €228.000 thanks to the Commerce Bonuses: what have the participants spent it on?

The Dénia City Council, through the Department of Commerce, together with Creama Dénia, launched a new edition of the trade bonus campaign that began on Thursday, June 13 and ended last Sunday, June 30.

During the campaign period, citizens have consumed vouchers for a total value of 78.340 euros, which means that the total amount of purchases made in Dénia shops has amounted to 227.743,59 euros, "a clear indicator of the positive impact on the local economy" he said. maria jose garcia, Councillor for Economic Development.

Discount vouchers worth €10 have been issued to redeem for purchases for a minimum amount of €20, made in Dénia establishments that are participating in the campaign. Citizens have made a greater number of purchases in the following sectors, from highest to lowest volume of spending:

  • Fashion and accessories.
  • Footwear.
  • Optics.
  • Technology, computing, electronics and appliances.
  • Sport.
  • Bookstore, stationery and office supplies.
  • Drugstore and perfumery.
  • Lingerie and swimwear.
  • Bags and accessories.
  • Jewelry.
  • Fallas clothing and accessories.
  • Toy store.
  • Hardware, DIY and painting.
  • Pets.
  • Decoration, lighting and home.
  • Food.
  • Others.
  • Florist and garden equipment.

"From the City Council we thank all citizens and participating businesses for their support and collaboration in this initiative, which for us is essential to promote local commerce and strengthen the local economy," Garcia declared. The remainder of the campaign, 21.660 euros, will be allocated to the budget of the next campaign.

The action, subsidized by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, has had two different types of bonuses: the senior ones (for people over 65 years of age, with a budget of 20.000 euros), and the general ones (for people over 18 to 64 years with a budget of 80.000 euros). Since it is considered a municipal subsidy, the beneficiaries will have the obligation to declare the amount in the 2024 personal income tax.
