During the FEPFI Gala, held on January 29, 2022, at 19:30 p.m. at the Victoria Theater in Talavera de la Reina, the prestigious award was presented by the organization. At the event, which was broadcast live on the social media, the Dianense, Jaime Mezquida, was named as the best National Photographer in the Nature section.
The contest, with more than 600 works presented by photographers and videographers from all over the peninsula, is evaluated online for several weeks, by a professional jury of national prestige. In this contest, only 10 professionals got their award, including Dianense.
Founded in 1992, the Spanish Federation of Photography and Image Professionals (FEPFI), currently includes nearly a thousand federated photographers and videographers, belonging to a total of 22 provincial and regional associations.
Since its creation, the Federation has been working for the common interests of this group, paying special attention to defending their rights, establishing standards and an ethical code of action, as well as ongoing technical training in order to achieve higher quality in production within the field of photography and video, and thereby achieve recognition of the work of this sector of image professionals.
FEPFI is a member of the WCPP (World Council of Professional Photographers) and the FEP (Federation of European Professional Photographers).
