This Tuesday Vicent Grimalt, Mayor of Dénia, Rafa Carrió, deputy mayor, and Maria Josep Ripoll, Councilor for Urban Planning, have appeared at a press conference to express their discontent over the lack of communication of Pepa Font in view of the approval announced yesterday by the Ministry of a investment of 8.261.654,85 euros for the new Regional Public CEE Raquel Payà de Dénia.
Vicent Grimalt has criticized that Font published yesterday on his Facebook account that he already knew the news beforehand and that he had been meeting with the Ministry for weeks to discuss the issue and obtain the budget for its construction. "From the City Council we have learned of the information from the press, Pepa Font has not even deigned to send a message," said the mayor.
Rafa Carrió has reported that last Friday The political representatives of all the Dénia parties visited the Raquel Payà center and they agreed to insist together that the Ministry approve the budget for the new space, "without politicking." Therefore, he describes Pepa Font's actions as "political opportunism."
"The people of Dénia do not deserve this, this is not an issue to be told lies about," said Grimalt, who has asked the politicians of the PP more “honesty with the city.”
Furthermore, the mayor has denounced Font's recent words about the Dianense government's management of the situation: "He said that, if the mayor wanted, he could start the works with the 6 million euros he already had." Grimalt has expressed that the politician knew what the procedure was when he said those words and that work cannot begin without the entire budget being approved.
Who will be in charge of the works?
In the Conselleria statement published yesterday, it was announced that in the actions delegated to the town councils through the Pla Edificant, and for which the construction process has not yet begun, the possibility of the General Directorate of Educational Infrastructures will be studied also assume relative management in Special Education centers.
For her part, Maria Josep Ripoll has expressed her "concern" in the event that the Ministry is in charge of the construction, from which they have not yet received the document proving that the budget is officially approved. "We hope to receive the document within a week, if more time passes we will be facing a smoke screen," added the mayor.
The councilor recalled that this is a "special" project that has involved years of work and that has included the participation of the center's teachers, who gave ideas for improvements necessary to make the lives of the students more comfortable. Among these improvements are areas with greater lighting, green spaces, an outdoor patio and the maintenance of the therapeutic pool (which they already have in the current center).
Always the same!! showing off one and/or the other!! City Councils and their representatives must WORK AS A TEAM, regardless of their sign. URGGGGG!! Heavy!!
That is if some who call themselves progressives wanted to work for the City and the Citizen.
They only know how to demand that others solve their problems and they only know how to express that only they are always right without recognizing the value of others and of democracy.
Some work, others throw tantrums and take photos.
