The PSPV-PSOE Dénia is committed to reinforcing the unity of action and guaranteeing citizen participation

24 March 2022 - 17: 40

The grouping of PSPV-PSOE de Dénia has presented its amendments to the framework paper that will be voted on in the Regional Congress of the socialists of the Marina Alta, which is held next Saturday, March 26, in the town of Orba.

Two of the three contributions of the Dianenses socialists insist on the general line, assumed by the future regional executive, of reinforcing the unity of action of the PSPV-PSOE in the Marina Alta; reflected in point 38 of the paper: "A region, a strategy".

To the objectives encompassed in this article, the PSPV-PSOE of Dénia proposes to add an explicit mention to the continuity of the Regional Association of the Marina Alta (MACMA) as one of the instruments that make this unit of action effective.

In this case, in the cultural sphere: "we will continue to support the MACMA as an entity that brings together practically all the municipalities, seeking to expand the services that are provided jointly."

Regarding the statement, included in the framework paper, of advocating a "regional strategic plan, taking into account the importance of depopulation, the aging of the population and the need for economic diversification and tourist deseasonalization", Dianense socialists propose to expand it highlighting the current relevance of this joint strategy: "It is more necessary than ever in the current context, to be able to access and manage the aid that the European Funds allocate for recovery policies. This (regional) plan, in line with the Recovery Plan , Transformation and Resilience, the Valencian Strategy for Recovery and the Sustainable Development Goals, will mark the way for the promotion and modernization of strategic sectors, seeking sustainable economic growth and, at the same time, increasing social welfare".

A third amendment focuses on promoting citizen participation. The Dénia group will submit to the vote of Congress the possibility of introducing a new section in the framework paper dedicated to governance:
"We know that a participatory and involved society is a society that is more cohesive and democratic every day. That is why we must promote and send strategies and instruments to all the municipalities in the region so that the municipalities are more open and receptive to the demands of the citizenship".

And as a concrete tool to achieve this advance in participatory matters, it is proposed to the new executive who will assume the leadership of the Socialists of the Marina Alta "to set up inter-county support channels in terms of citizen participation and governance".
