"Spanish is spoken in Spain": Vox Dénia criticizes the policies of defense of Valencian, the increase in taxes and the "demagogy" of the minutes of silence

11 October 2023 - 20: 00

In his first press conference as Vox Spokesperson in Dénia City Hall, Félix Redondo has offered a critical assessment of the first months of PSPV government.Compromís. Wheel in which Redondo has been especially harsh in his criticism, addressing various aspects of municipal management.

One of the points that the Vox spokesperson highlighted has been the cleaning of the beaches, which he described as "nonsense." Furthermore, he has criticized the policy of maintaining the Posidonia walls to preserve the coast, claiming that this negatively affects the wealth provided by tourism. In this context, he challenged the local government to take a truck of posidonia to the International Tourism Fair (FITUR).

Increase in the IBI and water bill

Redondo has also addressed the lack of street cleaning and the alleged absence of local police patrolling, drawing criticism. However, he focused much of his speech on the recent tax increase announced by the government, which will affect the IBI and water receipts. He highlighted that his group was the only one that voted against this last increase in the corresponding commission. Vox, on the contrary, proposes reducing taxes to the legal minimum and collecting in other ways, such as streamlining the drafting of construction licenses to encourage investment, he suggested.

The Vox Spokesperson has also referred to what he calls "ideological policies" related to the promotion of Valencian by the City Council, emphasizing: "This is Spain and Spanish is spoken."

In favor of a consultation on the Bous a la Mar

Redondo has criticized the reappearance of the debate on Bous a la Mar, stating that the majority of Dénia residents want this event to be held. Furthermore, it is in favor of holding a consultation and abiding by the result, being the only party with representation in the City Council that has defended supporting a hypothetical referendum.

Criticism of the minute of silence for the victims of sexist violence

Finally, Félix Redondo took advantage of the occasion to address the conflict between Israel and Palestine, criticizing what he called "femirrojas" for their supposed inaction in the face of the violence that is being generated in the conflict against women. Along these lines, he has questioned the minute of silence, which he described as "demagogic", which is held at City Hall in memory of the victims of sexist violence, arguing that a distinction is made between first-class and second-class deaths, depending on if they are Valencian or from the rest of Spain.

    Spanish is spoken in Spain

  2. Then says:

Finally someone stands up and I don't know how to lower the progressive agenda, for me he is right about everything, except the bous, I hope there is a referendum and they are annulled.
Enough of drowning the citizen with the increase in taxes, the IBI to pay is outrageous and on top of that I don't know where the tax goes, the entire city is missing, without sidewalks, without lighting, without sewage, one turn from the marinas and adjacent streets, just like in El Montgo, it looks like it's from a third world country. Terrible management, no existence of bike lanes, the few existing ones destroyed, the greenway overgrown with weeds and maintenance and so on.

Ich mag das Programmvln Vox nicht.
Aber ich weekend es gut das einer mal sagt das in Spanien spanisch gesprochen wird.
The Town Hall of Denia will be located on a Valencian night.
Wenn man beide Sprachen gleichberechtigt hält fände ich es in Ordnung. Wir Ausländer lernen in der Heimat and also hier in Denia spanisch, man kann auch kein valencianisch in den Sprachschulen.lernen.

It must be recognized that this man tells the truth about cleanliness, Dénia is really very dirty everywhere. As for water, it also seems like theft to me. In Spain we must speak Spanish officially, it is a Latin lingua country. As for the “bous al mar” referendum, people will surely vote to eliminate the celebration because times have changed and violence against animals now exceeds social violence. Whoever mistreats women, mistreats animals, mistreats children, are antisocial people, which is why evil must be eliminated from the roots, the root of lack of culture.

    • À says:

Jo parle valencia, which for some reason is my mother tongue. Also, the genuineness (predomini lingüístic, Bajoca!) of our city. You don't fly? Bé, here is an easy solution. You go to the territories in the only existing language is Spanish and develop your vital project there. But here it is not that you wander around the donkey.

  5. Joan Verdú says:

This man has a lot of merit. He has more council offices than neurons.

    • Juana says:

You still have more merit, being able to live without neurons is almost impossible

      • joan verdu says:

Oh, what an accurate comment, Juana. After him, I return to my cubicle overwhelmed by your ingenuity and I will never appear in these parts again to avoid new humiliations.
I encourage you to continue like this, giving what is ours to the progressive separatists to prevent, with your glue based on talent, the disintegration of this country that, without you, oh patriots, would be in the hands of separatists and upstarts.
In the name of the Spain of the future, thank you, Juana and all the Juanas salvapatrias.
