This week the period to request aid from Dénia to companies affected by the pandemic opens

November 29 from 2021 - 09: 38

The Governing Board held last week approved the bases that govern the call for economic aid for companies and freelancers belonging to the sectors of commerce, hospitality, tourism and other activities of the municipality of Dénia especially affected by the consequences of the pandemic.

The aid comes to complete the measures that the City Council of Dénia had planned to support the local productive sectors especially affected by COVID-19 for this year. The 2021 budget credit for these aids, the amount of which takes as a reference the amount of garbage collection and street occupation fees paid by establishments, is 813.979,26 euros.

Beneficiaries of the benefit may be those individuals, legal entities (including cooperatives, commercial companies and, where appropriate, civil companies) and communities of assets legally constituted, that carry out their activity in commercial establishments, hotels, tourism and other activities located in the municipality of Dénia, excluding La Xara and Jesús Pobre.

Applicants must meet, among other requirements, be registered with IAE; use as a permanent establishment for the development of its economic activity the property for which the aid is requested, either as an owner or as a tenant; have authorization for the occupation of public roads for the year 2021 and be up to date in the fulfillment of their tax obligations with the City Council of Dénia, with the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT) and with the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS).

Likewise, they may not have open disciplinary proceedings due to the lack of an activity license or occupation of the public highway without administrative authorization, among other assumptions.

To determine the amount of the same, the amount that must be paid in fiscal year 2021 of the Urban Solid Waste rate and the rate for occupation of the public road with tables and chairs will be taken as a reference.

In the case of the Urban Solid Waste rate, the amount of the aid may reach a maximum of 50% of the amount to be paid by the applicant for the 2021 financial year, once the minimum ineligible of 125 euros has been discounted.

In the case of the public road occupancy rate, it could reach 100% depending on the number of workers that each applicant company has maintained compared to 2020. The maximum amount of 100% will be assigned for those who have maintained at least the 60% of the staff, assigning 0% of the amount for percentages lower than 25% of the staff.

The submission of applications will be through the electronic headquarters of the City Council within the established deadline: from December 1 to 10, 2021.
