Filà Almogàvers

The pioneers in introducing women at the party were, in the year 1997, the components Filà Almogàvers. They are part of christian side and it is currently made up of more than twenty women who wear their blue suits with the embroidered shield and who have a second kit, a brown djellaba that they use on some occasions.

Origin of its name

The Almogàvers were strong, brave and fierce soldiers, and often also cruel and ruthless. The Almogavar name originates from the Arabic word Al-mugawir, which means "penetrate enemy territory". Their war cry, adopted by FILA Almogàvers was "Wake up Ferro!"
