Filà Cavallers

Encouraged by the first parade of parties Moors and Christians In Dénia, in the year 1981 a group of friends decided to mount their own filà and participate in the parties actively. From then until now, the Cavallers line has maintained its personality. Currently they wear a dark blue chilaba with a large red cross on their chest or, failing that, the representative coat of arms.

Name's origin

The history of the name of the Filva Cavallers is, at least, curious. When the filà was formed, the name of Cavallers del Me'n Fot was proposed to the Board of Directors of the party, but it was denied due to lack of seriousness. After that refusal, the filà opts for the name Gavilans to start participating in the party. But the name Cavallers of the Me'n Fot weighed heavily, and over time they eliminated the "Me'n fot" to end up being, finally, Cavallers.
