The municipal group of Gent of Dénia has presented a motion to debate in the next ordinary plenary session in October with which they pursue the creation of a map that facilitates the autonomy of people with reduced mobility in the city.
Following in the wake of towns such as Sabiñágio, Carreño or Terrasa, Gent de Dénia proposes to the council that a public access web map be drawn up and published to make each architectural barrier that the municipality presents to be known to visitors and residents. The intention is that, in addition to avoiding the existence of these obstacles, it is made known to those points of the town where traveling becomes a difficult task.
"Thanks to technological advances and its ease of use, we could know our routes before starting the journey, but for this, the information must be available to dianenses and visitors, so that, in this way, they can decide the best route and option", says the party.
In addition, this plan would advertise the accessibility to buildings, tourist routes, public spaces and buildings, and shops and hospitality establishments.
