People from Dénia propose a tribute to the volunteers who helped after the DANA in Valencia

January 22 from 2025 - 12: 53

"The immense sadness and deep impulse of solidarity that arose when contemplating the terrible disaster caused by the floods produced by the DANA suffered in Valencia at the end of October is still present in the hearts of all the people of Dian," he says. Gent of Dénia it's a statement.

The party has announced that it has presented a motion to the Plenary Session of the City Council with the aim of paying tribute to all the volunteers and groups that contributed to alleviating the effects of this tragedy. The proposal seeks the support of the other parties in the corporation to approve a tribute that recognises their commitment and dedication.

Among the initiatives proposed is the creation of a permanent reminder in an emblematic place in the city. This tribute could take the form of a sculpture, plaque, street, square or other element that symbolises the importance of the gesture of solidarity of the people of Dénia. Gent de Dénia insists that the chosen location must be "up to the significance of the collective action", underlining the importance of preserving the memory of this citizen mobilisation as an example of unity and solidarity.

In their explanation for making this tribute effective, Gent de Dénia considered: «Dénia knows well what it means to suffer the ravages of an unleashed nature. Our city has endured storms, storms and floods, leaving an indelible mark on the collective memory and a special sensitivity to these tragedies. Given the magnitude of what happened and the urgency of the situation, the society of Dénia reacted without hesitation. From the first moment, citizens, private associations, failures, humanitarian organisations and emergency professionals such as police, firefighters, health workers and Civil Protection mobilised to provide aid to those affected. A selfless effort that, in many cases, is still active today, channelling support tailored to the needs of those affected.

I think it's a very miserable way of advertising people from Dénia. Did the great number of people who have offered their help from all over Spain do it to receive a tribute??? Do you know that in these cases what the right hand does has no interest in the left hand knowing about it. Do you know that they have done it with all their heart, with the sole purpose of HELPING?? I repeat, I think this way of advertising is miserable.

!! There is no need for tributes!! People help because they are good, not like the "Inept politicians" who need a photo, applause, but yes, criticize them and they get offended... or rebel and kick up a fuss. Gentlemen of Gent de Dénia and the rest, get to work like the rest of us citizens do.
