In the General Assembly of the "ruta dels riuraus", the incorporation of the Funbici Association (Cycle Tourism of the Valencian Community) was unanimously approved, whose objective is the development of bicycle routes that include differential aspects from culture, family and safety when using a bicycle.
TheRoute of the Riuraus» fits perfectly into the cycle tourism initiative, having paths, paths, riuraus or viewpoints of the regions of the Marina Alta and La Safor, becomes an extensive and widely disseminated cultural and landscape offer.
This route brings together the values and the charm that cycling requires, and is that traveling by bicycle through it, allows the cyclist to enjoy the roads of oblivion, quiet towns inland to the coast. It allows you to cross quiet streets where you listen to your thoughts, to visit a past present today, where everything is simpler than it seems, a trip to our interior.
The visitor, resident or adventurer will find by bicycle, in these two regions, a world that astonishes by its landscape, its crops, its orography, its mountains, its architecture, its ports, its people and the way of life. A world to enjoy with just letting you take a kilometer to a kilometer.
Objectives of Funbici
Through Funbici, the aim is to audit family routes that are as safe as possible and that affect tourism segmentation and specialization. With the "Route of the Riuraus«, the conditions are in place to project the values of the route, which affect: deseasonalization, the structuring of the tourist destination, quality tourism, promoting the use of bicycles, improving the beach connection with the interior, stop the depopulation of interior towns and the climate.
Funbici is already developing this en route project such as the Vall de Pop Route, the Marina Alta Route, the Dénia-Oliva-Gandía Route through the Greenways and the Marjal. While it is in the study phase in others as they are; Xàtiva-Gandía, Route between Calpe and the Vall de Pop and Route between Llíber and Gata.
Funbici will announce the «Route of the Riuraus» through its platforms, both in the Valencian Community, nationally, and even European, by following the standards established by Eurovello.
