The West Falla and the City Council of Dénia agree to look for alternatives for the plant in the uneven Valgamediós square

The reform of the Valgamediós square continues to be a concern for the Falla Oeste. Although the final section of the work will not begin until after the Fallas March, the plant will continue, although with changes.

The Dénia City Council has met with the West Falla this week to convey what they announced at a press conference a few days ago: the square would not be ready for the Fallas. Despite the fact that in the beginning it was ensured that it would be finished sooner and that it would not affect the placement of the monuments, finally it will not be able to be. The work to put the Valgamediós square on a single level will begin after the date.

This is a tough stick for the West Falla, since they depend on all space being at the same height to raise the ninots that wait so long to see the light. The first solution offered by the City Council has remained lame, as they proposed that they place a kind of wooden platform that would support part of the base. Something that the commission and the Fallas artist have ruled out because they see it as impractical.

In this way, they have reached an agreement to find an alternative. The West will request budgets for the placement of concrete in the uneven area during those days, to later remove it, and if it receives the approval of the City Council, it will assume the work and its costs.

They thus reach this new agreement in a very cordial meeting from which they leave optimistic in the face of the long-awaited plantà.
