The athlete Laurence Rastell, from the Dénia Corre club, was third in the Veteran B category in a competition within the vertical Spanish Cup. The race was held the last weekend of August in Castro Valnera, Cantabria. This test consisted of traveling four kilometers in an ascent of 1 000 meters of accumulated positive slope. The athlete did it with a time of 1:24:21.
On the other hand, some representatives of the club participated in the Volta a Peu de Miramar on September 4. Those who covered the eight kilometers of the race were Youssef Ahatach (0:27:20), Carlos Sánchez (0:31:13), Martí Sifre (0:33:17), Christina Mallet (0:35:23) and Mila Ortega (0:41:09).
Also on the same day, but in the Aragonese town of Benasque, Mariona Valor competed the 26-kilometer route through the Pyrenees. His time was 4:06:00.
Finally, in the Pujada a la Font Roja on Sunday September 12, Carlos Sánchez, with a time of 0:43:08, and Martí Sifre, with 0:47:57, participated in the competition. In this way, the most active members of the Dénia Corre club made the 8,5 kilometers in Alcoi.
