The Dénia candidates for the exam: Carrió is the best valued, but Grimalt and Font are more popular

May 18 from 2023 - 08: 13

No politician approves in the eyes of the citizens of Dénia. This is stated in the results of the electoral poll made for Dénia.com on the municipal elections of May 28 (consult methodology) and that throughout this week we will shell out.

Rafa Carrió gets the highest grade with a 4,7, closely followed by Vicent Grimalt (4,5), who is the one with the greatest notoriety. Indeed, 9 out of 10 Dianenses know the mayor, while his immediate follower, Pepa Font, has an indicator of 83,3%. Felix Redondo, Juanjo Nieves y Sergi Sales they receive the starkest scores, the last two with the starkest popularity ratings.

If we focus on the knowledge that the Dianense population has of the mayors, Vicent Grimalt clearly stands out as he is recognized by more than 90% of the residents of the municipality. The political trajectory of the head of the list of the PP, Pepa Font, translates into high popularity quotas (83,3%), above Rafa Carrió, who ranks third in recognition (64,5%). They are followed by the candidates mario vidal y Susana Mut with figures of around 50%. The renown of the rest of the political figures is located below 30% of the citizens with the right to vote in the capital of the Marina Alta.

Regarding the evaluations, two politicians lead the ranking, Rafa Carrió (4,7) and Vicent Grimalt (4,5), in fact, they are the only ones who manage to raise their median to 5. Among these and the rest of the candidates is Mario Vidal, with an average of 4,3 and a median of 4, a figure that Pepa Font and Susanna Mut also reach, but with averages lower than this figure (3,9 and 3,6).

At the bottom of the classification are the three political leaders who do not exceed an average evaluation of 3, among which it is worth noting Félix Redondo, who does not leave those who know him indifferent, since he has many detractors (47,6% of those who value it give it a score of 0), but it also enjoys some unconditional followers (10,6% of those who know it give it a 9 or 10).

The Ciudadanos electorate is the most condescending

There is a close relationship between the valuation of the politician in question and the intention to vote. Thus, the people who support a particular party evaluate the head of that formation's list better than the rest of the leaders: Vicent Grimalt obtains his best records from the voters of the PSPV-PSOE (7,2), Rafa Carrio de Compromís (6,5), Pepa Font from the PP (5,2), Susana Mut from Ciudadanos (6,5), Mario Vidal from GD (6,9), Juanjo Nieves from Podemos (7,3), Félix Redondo from VOX (8) and Sergi Sales from Acord Municipal (10). Only Ciudadanos voters give a higher score to the mayor of Gent of Dénia than his own candidate (specifically 7,3 compared to 6,5).

It is verified that the Ciudadanos electorate is the most condescending, since in addition to the excellent score given to Mario Vidal (7,3), they also approve of Rafa Carrió and Pepa Font (5,4 and 5,2). In fact, this condescension is only repeated between Compromís and the PSPV-PSOE, scoring the Valencian electorate with a 5 to the current mayor, and the socialist followers with a 5,5 to the mayor of Compromís.

Vicent Grimalt, the most omnipresent

Vicent Grimalt enjoys transversal popularity, since the electorates of the different political formations know him more than the candidates of the parties they are going to vote for. This statement is only applicable to Pepa Font in the case of those who would deposit their ballot for Ciudadanos, Gent de Dénia, Podemos and VOX, and to Rafa Carrió with respect to Podemos voters.

Those who would abstain, or have not yet decided on their vote, once again recognize Vicent Grimalt more than the rest, however, among the former the notoriety of Pepa Font exceeds that of Rafa Carrió, but among the latter this order is reversed.

The foreigner with the right to vote in Dénia is the one who knows the fewest candidates, mentioning a smaller number of mayors than the national electorate.

Comments
  1. Pedro says:

The most significant thing of all seems to me to be that Pepa Font being well known, does not arouse sympathy even among her voters. And her campaign seems to have been designed by Grimalt, every time she speaks she gives votes to the PSPV

  2. Dani says:

All politicians in this system are equal:
    Some selfish.
We need to refound this country on the basis of a North American Federal State.
Death penalty, powerful banks, skyscrapers in Seville, Malaga, Zaragoza, Murcia….
Protectionism, a Rifle Association in Spain, the Spanish NBA, Nuclear Weapons….and the Spanish Republican Party (PAR).
May the people of Spain be carried by the eagles towards freedom.

  3. Juan Collado says:

That the people of the PP give their candidate only a 5 pelao is an unequivocal sign that the people are not stupid, that they are not fooling anyone. And if Pepa herself goes on pestering María Mut and the people who ate the worst period of the game, as if she were the savior of the country, it helps very little.

  4. Luis says:

Do you vote for who you know? I know this one, so I vote for him? Do you vote for political ideology? Do the candidates really represent that ideology or their personal interests? Do you vote for the objectives achieved, for the improvements applied to society? Goals? What objectives? What improvements?
