This evening the Dénia City Council has celebrated the Ple de debate on the status of the municipality, "an exercise of transparency and accountability, given by the groups of the opposition and of the citizenry, which to the democratic government has d'integrate in the dynamic seua”, highlighted the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, which has opened the round of interventions by the political groups.
In the seu repàs pel grau de compliment of the program of the government committed to the citizenry, Grimalt has insisted on the idea that, despite the sudden irruption of the pandemic, “this has not followed a lost legislature and the crisis has been attended to 'execution of our full route have advanced in parallel'. “The obligatory break that the pandemic is going to impose is going to split the legislature in two and it seems that the feina will begin in 2020. Tanmateix, fruit of this mandate 2019-2023 is the long list of performances that I will cite.”
Among them, included in a first department focused on the recovery of public spaces and actions for Dénia "a friendlier and richer city", the mayor has remembered the works done by the crisis and final auctions and all during the longest months, with the redevelopment of Camí de Sant Joan and Carrer Major i Pare Pere and Plaça de Valgamedios; the new track d'atletisme and the change of gespa dels football camps; the renovation of the children's parks in Plaça de Jaume I; or the works for the elimination of the architectural barrier of the trenet.
Some other projects are not going to saturate the processing during the pandemic and in the end of the emergency period, they are going to follow their final path to execution: the works of the Verger Alt, the castell, and the works of the Verger Baix and the chicken tower; the rehabilitation of the Torrecremada house, in obres de fa uns mesos; the performances of the Pla Edificant, with the new classroom of Children of the Pou de la Muntanya; and the remodeling of the center of Dénia, with three large projects, to Glorieta and adjacents, Carrer Marqués de Campo and the conversion of the site of the old ambulatory into a garden, which will begin to be executed after the summer.
I all worked in parallel with the management of the crisis derived from the pandemic, which will require an extra effort in terms of social care: prop 1 million euros in emergency aid between 2020 and 2021; employment plans that have donated feina to sixty people; or Parèntesi aids: more than 2 million euros for companies and self-employed.
But the mayor has also talked about the future and about the set of plans and actions encompassed by a global vision of the city, a strategy based on four goals: the intelligent city, both a nerve center for the new Office of City Strategies by Painter Llorens; the university city, with the key to the future campus of Ciències Gastronòmiques in Torrecremada; a more net city with the new contract, and to approve, of the fem; i “3 million euros from the Next Generation funds that will help us trace and develop the future”.
The intervention of the municipal group of PSPV-PSOE has been a carrec of Mr. Josep Ripoll, who in addition to insisting on the actions that corroborate that "we will continue, in this legislature, operating the best transformation of the city", has replicated some of the statements of the opposition.
Regarding the scarcity of parking, linked more to the pedestrianization of our urban spaces, Ripoll has defended that “this is the model of the city for which we have abandoned: more for people, passejable and sense fums; a model aligned with the SDGs”; but al mateix temps, "endowed with 3.000 public and free parking spaces, 10 minutes from the center of Dénia", which will end up being increased with the remodeling of the parking lot of the Rotates (160 places) and in Breu they will increase more “with the opening of two new zones of public parking: to Isaac Peral and one second to les Rotes”.
