This last weekend in Dénia has been non-stop. In just a couple of days a large number of events have been concentrated, which together with the fact that May 2 is a holiday in many towns in the state, has led to the city enjoying an extraordinary atmosphere. Few weekends have had so many different proposals for residents and visitors.
To begin with, the Dénia trade was fully involved in the Flower Mother campaign, with which they celebrated Mother's Day by filling the city's shop windows and gardens with flowers. In the same way, the University of Valencia held its “Gifts, Literature and Territory” sessions in the municipality, filling it with young students. Also on Saturday, the Dansant dance festival returned to the Marina, which was finally able to celebrate its fourth edition in improvised, very emblematic stages of Dénia (from the Plaza del Consell to the Casa de la Marquesa) after the break caused by the pandemic.
But the programming did not stop there. Marina de Denia also chose these days to carry out the return of its Wine Fair, where professionals from the sector offered their products to all the visitors who passed through the facilities. In the same way, it coincided that the Nao Victoria, the floating museum that replicates the historic boat, was visiting the place.
And we cannot forget that, and in itself, Dénia was once again filled with tourists from municipalities with bridges due to the most common claim: the sun and the beach. The coast was filled with umbrellas coinciding with the good weather that was experienced on Saturday and Sunday. An oasis between rainy days that was taken advantage of with the first dips for many.
