Councilors of the PSPV y Compromís They have joined throughout the entire region to protest after the Alicante Provincial Council refused to join the Cooperation Fund, despite the fact that Valencia and Castellón did.
The protest has reached the consistory of Dénia. This morning, under the town hall, councilors from the Dianense formations of the PSPV and Compromís have gathered as a protest. The socialist deputy has also participated Óscar Mengual and the Deputy of Compromís Gerard Fullana.
"The paralysis on the part of the Government of the Provincial Council of Alicante to the municipal cooperation fund is already fine". This is how resounding Mengual was, noting that "it's been 5 years now and it's a lot of money that has stopped being received by the municipalities." This means that, in the words of the Socialist deputy, the situation of our municipalities is "absolutely different from the municipalities of Valencia and Castelló".
Fullana has addressed the same line, stating that Dénia would have received up to three times more subsidies in 2020 if it had belonged to the province of València. "In a very complicated year such as that of the pandemic, much greater support would have been received," insisted the deputy.
As well Rafa Carrió, spokesman for Compromís per Dénia, has joined the protest criticizing the work being done by the Alicante Provincial Council: "They dedicate themselves to working their beach bar without taking into account the function of serving the towns, which is one of the obligations that has a deputation ".
