The Repsol Guide publishes every year several of the best restaurants in Dénia on its pages. Although not everyone achieves the aspired Sol, appearing in the prestigious guide is already a prize in itself.
In 2024 there will be six soles that the capital of the Marina Alta, although in total there are 15 establishments that appear in the guide, six more than in the last edition. These are:
Three Repsol Suns
Quique Dacosta Restaurant
It is the best-known establishment in Dénia, whose kitchen is headed by one of the most award-winning and mediatic chefs in Spain: Quique Dacosta.

The restaurant is located in the first half of Marines, visible from the road itself and only a couple of kilometers from Dénia.

Two Repsol Suns
Peix i Brases Restaurant
One of the establishments that has been the most talked about in recent years, since, in addition to having the presumed two Suns, at the end of 2021 it achieved its first Michelin Star.
Location
It is one of the many restaurants located on the port façade, in the Baix la Mar neighborhood. It has one of the best views of the port of Dénia, as well as the beach Punta del Raset, very enjoyable thanks to its upper terrace.

A Repsol Sun
The Baret Miquel
One of the restaurants best known by the residents of Dénia, run by veteran chef Miquel Ruiz. It is difficult to find a list or guide that includes the best restaurants in Dénia and this establishment in the heart of the city does not appear.

It is located on the ground floor of a town house on Calle Historiador Palau, a few meters from Glorieta del País Valencià and Marqués de Campo. That is, in the center.

Recommended Repsol Guide
Samaruc
One of the great novelties of this year is the entry as a recommended establishment of the Restaurant Samaruc which has the kitchen of Ismael Bilbao. The chef, according to the inspector, "captures a unique tasting menu that surprises: seasonal produce (sometimes from his own garden, located in the neighboring Valencian town of Oliva), textures, flavors and colors star in each dish, always with Defangcuit artisan crockery». In addition, the guide points out that "its pleasant, relaxed Mediterranean-style terrace invites you to spend several hours enjoying the experience, although the pace, set by an efficient and smiling room team, is agile."

Federico House
One of the most emblematic restaurants in Dénia, with 40 years behind it, also appears in the recommended guide, although without its Sol. The guide says of it: «Seafaring breeze and tasty specialties from boat cuisine. “Great terrace and menu of the day.”

El Faralló, one of the most emblematic restaurants in Dénia, stands out for its classic seafood menu and its specialty in red shrimp, always treated with care. Another of the Dénia classics, which usually appears recommended in most guides, so the Repsol was not going to be the exception. "Sea cuisine in a modern key, as well conceived as it is developed in an attractive environment," the guide says of it.

The Repsol Guide highlights the location, "an old rustic country house with a pleasant terrace and a dining room decorated in a simple, Mediterranean style." "They work the Josper to prepare vegetables or meats, although their menu does not lack typical rice dishes either." Furthermore, they point out that "their combinations sometimes seem risky, but they are very well resolved and plated with taste."

The Racó de la Xara
The first of this year's novelties is found in La Xara. El Racó de la Xara, a restaurant recognized for its impressive decoration and attention to detail, offers a unique dining experience.
