Early on Sunday, the port of Dénia hosted the traditional sardinada, a popular event organized to liven up the morning after the festivities on the first Saturday of the Holidays. The Commissió de Festes de la Mare de Déu dels Desemparats was in charge of offering lunch, which consisted of distributing sardines and beers to the dozens of neighbors who attended.
