"I am guilty before I start talking," the Vox councilor in Dénia, Félix Redondo, defended himself in a press conference called this Monday to respond to the criticism expressed in a statement issued last Friday by the government team. of the town in which he accused the "extreme right" of generating "crispation" in politics and, among other arguments, denounced the "rude and simplistic style of the extreme right, the one that allows itself to insult a political opponent or make faces ».
"The reason for calling this press conference is to be able to explain what I cannot say in plenary because they immediately cut us off," the councilor continued. «The last statement from PSPV y Compromís "This is an attack on Vox and we do not understand the reason, because we have always tried to collaborate and this is going a little outside the proper functioning of municipal groups," he added.
"They were accustomed until now to governing in a very comfortable way in previous legislatures," he commented. The councilor explained that they "do not have any type of tension or disagreement", although they will "never" agree with the 2030 Agenda, which he has described as "nonsense".
The politician has expressed that he has "nothing against Vicent Grimalt", but "what cannot be is that he cuts off the intervention in the plenary sessions, both by Vox and other opposition groups." "We understand politics as something else, a space where you can debate," he says.
"They say that we have created tension, but since we arrived we have been with our hand outstretched," he explained. He recalled that Grimalt told him that "national politics is different" and that they were going to address local issues, but, when a motion on Palestine, came as “a surprise” to him: “What does Palestine have to do with rural politics? And they always hear only one part of the story, that of the Palestinians. "If you always listen to Little Red Riding Hood, the wolf will always be the bad guy," he mentioned.
Redondo alludes to the fact that, that day in the plenary session, the government brought protesters "to boo, clap... everything he says (Vicent Grimalt) that cannot be done.
In the sense of "crispation", he recalled what the investiture of the former popular mayor was like Ana Kringe: «This investiture almost reaches physical aggression; "It was PSPV and Compromís that were there."
«They tell us that we make faces. "They are surprised faces," commented the councilor, who mentioned that in the previous plenary session, when Pepa Font explained her duties as Port Commissioner and "laughter was heard even on Campos Street."
Later, Redondo attacked Rafa Carrió (Compromís councilor): «What I didn't know was his role as an actor, because the other day he made an impressive performance when in plenary I asked him about the officially protected housing and he told me that I had disrespected him and that he would never again "He was going to talk to me."
The Vox councilor recalled that Carrió mentioned a poster “El País Valencià does not exist, moniato” as if his person was being attacked: “I posted it on my Facebook wall on March 28; In the WhatsApp conversation I told him not to take it personally, at no time did I mention his name. In this sense, Redondo has described it as a "performance" when Carrió in response wore a t-shirt that said "País Valencià" in the plenary session.
"They can count on us for whatever they need for the good of Dénia," the politician concluded, "what happens is that they have not assumed that they have lost the Generalitat (...) with their Catalan policies."
Felix Redondo plays the victim.
And all the blame lies with the PP.
