DBC SUMA Lighting wins against Adesavi

28 October 2024 - 10: 03

DBC SUMA BPM Lighting achieved its first victory in the Third FEB by defeating ADESAVI (89-65) on the third day of the competition, in a Joan Fuster pavilion that was once again packed, with fans who enjoyed and carried the team on their shoulders.

Eduardo Clavero's men had little trouble getting into the swing of things and from the first minute they set a high pace of play, with the defence as the driving force of the team.

San Vicent del Raspeig accepted the challenge and equality dominated the scoreboard for the first fifteen minutes, with a constant exchange of baskets and a very even fight under the boards.

The bench rotation did not lower the team's performance one bit and that consistency ended up taking its toll on their rivals, who saw that, by the half-time break, the hosts had escaped with a thirteen-point lead (46-33).

After the break, the home team came out determined to finish off the match. A few excellent minutes in which everyone contributed both in attack and defence, made the match finally break up, closing the third period with a twenty-point advantage.

Although the ADESAVI players never gave up and continued to fight until the last second, they were unable to reduce the gap against a team that showed an excellent face and proved to be prepared to fight at this tough level of competition.

Next week DBC SUMA BPM Lighting will visit the court of Servigroup Benidorm, a team that will arrive as undefeated leaders to the fourth round after having defeated Eset Ontinet, another of the favourites of the group, away from home.

The match will be played at the Palau L'Illa in Benidorm on Sunday 3 November at 18:30 pm, and will be a new opportunity to continue growing in this competition.
