El Joan Fuster pavilion de Dénia was the venue chosen by the FBCV for the celebration, last Saturday, of the finals of the Alevín category with which the current edition of the Valencian pre-season League was put to an end. With this, next week, the beginning of the minibasket competitions with which all the regular leagues of the 2021/22 season in the Valencian Community will be definitively underway.
The girls and boys of Dénia of the 2010 generation had an unbeatable performance in their respective matches for the title. The pavilion had an excellent entrance of the public, which complied with all current sanitary measures.
Joventut Xabia and DBC
The men's final between Joventut Xabia and DBC 10, with the refereeing by Laura Caselles and ACB Fernando Calatrava, was very even and competitive (34-47). The intensity in defense gave our team the possibility to run to the counterattack. Thus they opened a margin of points on the scoreboard that they then knew how to conserve with intelligence, and most significantly, without the pressure weighing on them at all when the end approached and their rival consumed their last options to cut the advantage.
Great step forward for the team that sees their confidence reinforced at the start of the important year of their farewell from the Alevín category.
CD Paidos Rojo and DBC
No less spectacular was the women's final played between the CD teams Paidos Rojo and DBC 10 with refereeing by the Dianenses, Ainoa Martin and Sebastián Ruíz, in which the former ended up winning by a single point advantage in a tight final and full of good basketball by both teams (50-49).
Although the first advantages were for the schoolboys, our girls reacted and after balancing the crash they took the lead in the last period. The last attacks were decisive and there our rivals were more successful, taking the victory deservedly.
The team continues to grow at a rapid pace and competing in this one-on-one match confirms that the group is ready to face the challenges that will be presented throughout this season with all the guarantees.
DBC 06 Female Cadet and DBC Junior Female Trophies
The DBC 06 Women's Cadet and DBC Junior Women's teams received during these finals the trophies that accredit them as Champions of their respective editions of the Valencian League 2021. For both teams, this award represents an important stimulus in their careers.
For the girls of 2006 it is their first official title since they joined forces three years ago, their members coming from the different schools in the municipality. Their commendable work in all this time has not only led them to achieve this award, but it has also helped them to compete this course in the second autonomous Cadet step where they will surely play an excellent role.
For the Juniors of Denia Basketball This trophy is the confirmation of a job well done for many seasons, and the starting point for what must be a great campaign in the regional Level 2 competition, from which they will surely fight to achieve the maximum possible objectives.
