"Animal abuse must be eliminated," they cried.
The Dénia Animal Save collective has organized this demonstration again, which has been supported by different organizations, as well as political parties such as Podemos or PACMA. A hundred people moved from the basement of the Town Hall to Marqués de Campo with banners demanding the end of the Bous a la Mar.
This year, after the incident last July that ended the life of one of the cattle that participated in the bullfighting celebrations, the Bous a la Mar have been reduced by half, eliminating midday appointments so that animals do not suffer from the scorching heat when the sun is highest. However, it is only progress, but for animal activists the definitive solution is the eradication of this type of celebrations.
