A neighbor of Dénia is exempted from entering jail after being convicted of sexual abuse of two minors

01 October 2021 - 12: 57

The Alicante Provincial Court has sentenced a man, a resident of Dénia, to a year and a half in prison for sexually abusing two minors, 13 and 16 years old, inside the establishment he ran. However, the accused will not go to prison, since the sentence suspends the execution of the imprisonment sentence imposed, conditional on the offender not committing a crime within two years.

The events occurred in March 2019. According to the sentence, the accused tried to satisfy his sexual desires by touching two minors who were in the premises despite their refusal.

The judgment indicates that when the defendant acted, he did so under the influence of alcoholic beverages, in such a way that his ability to understand the illegality of the act was slightly diminished.

In addition to the conditional months of imprisonment, the Court imposed a prohibition on him from approaching less than 300 meters from the two minors and the payment of a daily fine of three euros for 14 months and compensation for each minor.

It is not the fault of the judges, they only apply the law and it is enough, it would be necessary to legislate other, fairer laws, but that is what the politicians do.

Shameful, I hope that the scourge of child molesters would end, but no. And with sentences like this it will never end. If the only thing left for the judge to do is apologize to the abuser and give him a gift for the inconvenience caused. It is indecent. What happens to Judges like this? Are they on staff?
