Before the vote, as secretary also of the outgoing executive, Vicent Grimalt gave an account of the management report for the last four years; a marked management, he has highlighted, "for the electoral processes of 2019, the social, economic and health management of the pandemic and the party's support for the government process that has allowed us to carry out the greatest urban transformation in the history of the city ".

Regarding the first point, Grimalt recalled that in 2019 there were four electoral appointments, two general, regional and municipal, "and in all of them our group worked with the same intensity for the ideals and the socialist project". "Honest and close" work that culminated in "the historic results of the Denia mayoral elections: an absolute majority of 12 councilors" which has allowed us to work freely, awaken the best Denia and show that talking people understand."

"But we still need your voices and your support to continue with the policies that are transforming the city and complete the pending projects," Grimalt advanced with an eye on the May 2023 electoral call.

The outbreak of the pandemic, in second place, "was a great challenge, but easy to assume by applying our maxim: people at the center". To help citizens in such difficult times, "more than 3,25 million euros in 2021 allocated to social aid and support for small businesses and the self-employed and 1,3 million in employment policies and nearly 100 people hired".

Finally, the support for the work of the municipal government, which has given continuity to the future project for Dénia with "ambitious improvements for the city, which we have shown could become a reality": the university campus, the structuring from the redevelopment of Joan Fuster, more pedestrian spaces (pl. de Valgamedios, Calle Marques de Campo, remodeling of Glorieta, the future garden on the site of the old ambulatory), the new urban cleaning contract, the second residence approved by the Generalitat and the updating of the educational infrastructures with the Building Plan, the business plans, of Dénia, 'smart city' and sustainable tourism (with 3 million Next Generation funds awarded), among other actions.

"A big, huge transformation still underway."

The next relevant appointment in the calendar of the local Dénia group, before the municipal ones, will be the candidate nomination process, which is scheduled to be held after the summer.
