All the winners of the XXI Dénia Tapas Route are already known

Tempura Bar (c. Diana, 4), with the creation "Bon rollet", an aubergine cannelloni with shrimp, cod and mushroom sauce, has been the winner of the twenty-first edition of the Dénia Tapas Route by vote of the participants. The manager of the establishment, Javier Nadal, has received a commemorative plaque and a decorative gas stove for terraces courtesy of the company fire Spreading.

The second classified in this edition has been Origin restaurant (pl. Constitució, 5), with the cover “The origin of the hamburger”, a mini burger with oxtail and candied fig on bun bread. Its representatives have collected the commemorative plaque presented by Manolo Martí, director of GuiaME and the gift of a dinner, overnight stay and breakfast at the La Font de Alcalá hotel, in Alcalá de la Jovada.

The prize awarded by Turisme Dénia to the best tapa made with native product has been delivered by the mayor and Councilor for Tourism, Vicent Grimalt, at the Tasty Restaurant (pl. Convent, 5-B), for its mincho de prawn with chard. In addition to a commemorative plaque, they have received the gift of a tasting lunch or dinner at the restaurant Mena.

Lastly, the AEHTMA prize awarded by a technical jury went to the Bar Bonanza (Municipal Market) for the tapa “Ensaladilla Dime tú”. The owner, Robert Bordes, has collected a commemorative plaque and the prize of a lunch for two people at one of the restaurants associated with AEHTMA from the hands of Diego Mena, manager of the hospitality association.

Awards for the riders

As is tradition, the prize-giving ceremony, held in the Plenary Hall of the Dénia City Council, includes the raffle for prizes among the participating public that has valued at least 15 tapas in the Route passport.

The result of the draw is as follows:

  • Winner of a tapas dinner for two people at the Tempura Bar (1st place):
    Leles Noguera.

  • Winner of a tapas dinner for two people at the Origen restaurant (2nd place): Ursula Schmitz-Lanske.
  • Winner of a tapas dinner for two at Tasty Restaurant (winner of the Turisme Dénia award): Melvyn Eden.
  • Winner of a Tapas Dinner for Two at Bar Bonanza (AEHTMA Award Winner): Leonard Marc.
  • Winner of the AEHTMA award for two people with a hotel night with dinner and breakfast: Massimina Candeloro.
  • Winner of a gourmet basket with Navy products, courtesy of Melicatesen: Ana Ferrer.
  • Winner of a basket with everything you need to enjoy Carnot, courtesy of the Carnot Liquor company: John Nicoll.

Navy Portal Award

Routers who scored the most tapas also have a prize, sponsored by the shopping center Portal de la Marina and which consists of a gift card worth 500 euros for purchases at the shopping center. The winner of this award was David Kearley Mezquida.

The next event, announced at today's event, will be the celebration of Tapas Week, from June 12 to 18, 2023, coinciding with the celebration of World Tapas Day.
