The Espai d'Art Joan Castejón celebrates its first anniversary with an extensive program
October 8 will mark one year since the inauguration at the Casa de la Cultura of the Espai d'Art Joan Castejón, which in these 12 months, and despite the difficulties and restrictions derived from the pandemic, has received close to 3.000 visits.
To celebrate the anniversary, the Department of Culture has programmed different special activities during the last quarter of the year, in the art room and in the Social Center, taking into account "the philosophy that inspired the birth of the space: aesthetic participation ".
The program will open with an exhibition of fantastic paintings by the artist from Elche Francis Morell, from October 7 to January 8, at the Espai d'Art Joan Castejón.
From October 24 to December 19, a science fiction film series will take place at the Social Center, included in the Cineclub Pessic Dénia programming. On Sundays October 24, November 21 and December 19, with the prior introduction of film specialists, the following will be screened:
- The arrival, by Denis Villeneuve (USA), presented by Carlos Arenas, artistic curator and associate professor of Art History at the University of Valencia.
- "El hoyo", by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia (Spain), with a presentation by Jose Ángel de Dios García, from the publishing house Dilatando Mentes.
- "Her", by Spike Jonze (USA), introduced by Áurea Ortiz, from the University of Valencia and the Valencian Film Library.
Joan Castejón will also make guided visits to the exhibition room for 4th year ESO students, from October 1 to 16.
On November 18 the activity will take place Dialogue between artists: Joan Castejón-Francis Morell. An aesthetic dialogue between the works of the two artists, at the Espai d'Art Castejón, at 19:XNUMX p.m.
And the program will close, also in the art room, the presentation of the poetic prose texts of Aldo Dante Alvarado From the land of the winds, on December 9, at 19:XNUMX p.m.
