Marina Dénia presents the III edition of 'Meet the Port of Dénia'

The Consultative Port Table of the Port of Dénia has presented this morning the III edition of the educational project Get to know the Port of Dénia. It is the third year that this initiative has been launched, in which all the port companies participate and has the support of the Dénia City Council.

In this third edition, which will take place from April 18 to 21, in the morning, 380 ESO and Vocational Training students from six schools in Dénia, Sorts de la Mar, Chavás, Alfa & Omega, Paidos, Carmelitas will participate and Maria Ibars. The objective of this project is that young people come to know the Port of Dénia, as well as the opportunities and job opportunities it has. As in past editions, each student will be given a catalog with information on all the companies and entities that make up the Port of Dénia.

Every day, the students will take a tour of all the facilities to see the activity generated by the port. «This year we repeat with Mundo Marino to have the experience of getting on board and sailing. In addition, during the same days, it coincides that the Pascual Flores ship will be there and the students will be able to visit it, "said Gabriel Martínez, captain-director of Marina Dénia. They will get to know the tourist part of Marina Dénia, the sports side of the Dénia Yacht Club, the dry marina of Náutica Noguera, in the Fishermen's Guild they will learn about the importance of fishermen, in Marina El Portet there will be a practice of what a entrance of a ship to the port, they will know the facilities of Balearia and in Varadero Port Dénia the maintenance functions of the boats.
