Citizens requires the local government to answer the license applications on the coast

Sergio Benito, Councilor for Citizens in the City of Dénia, put on the table the problems with which the residents of Marines when applying for building permits in their homes.

As explained by the mayor, the council is not answering any request, thus bypassing the law, and without communicating officially that there suspension of licenses in the area. Councilman Citizens demanded the mayor to defend before the Department of the demarcation Costas 20 meters of coastline and attend to requests that are issued from this distance and 100 meters of servitude.

Benito said "Les Marines residents have the right to reform their homes and this passive attitude of the City Council is not fair to the owners". Still, he specified that "This does not mean that citizens want to be built on the beachfront."

To illustrate the situation, the council took a decision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment on a similar case of Calp collecting the rustic land of interest with a consolidation of 80% must be translated into developable land or urban land and that protection is 20 meters.
