On the occasion of the death in the line of duty of two civil guards in the fight against drug trafficking, which took place on February 9 in the town of Bárbate, the Dénia City Council has joined today at 12:00 p.m. the call for a minute of silence at the request of the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
The initiative has aimed to show support and solidarity with the families of the dead civil guards and recognition "of the great task carried out by the members of the State security forces", as indicated by the City Council.
I applaud both the initiative and all those who have joined it.
