Investigations by the Civil Guard and Seprona on the causes of the fire that broke out last Friday in the Natural Park Montgó have revealed that the arsonist used accelerators at the point where the fire started. The remains found reveal this, to which we must add the place where it all began, meters before the fire extinguishing tank installed in the area.
Now the investigations have been limited in that area, a point of easy access by which you access the top of the Montgó from Jesus Pobre. The Civil Guard, in addition, has interrogated the neighbors of the area in case that day they saw some strange movement in the early afternoon, minutes before the fire was declared.
The fire in the Montgó Natural Park left a balance of almost 40 hectares burned, half a hundred neighbors evicted by the smoke generated in the area and minor damage in some plots.
