The photos uploaded by the participants will appear on the web and Each snapshot will add 500 drops of solidarity, who Aqualia will transform a support program for victims of gender violence into financial support.

At the Denia Sports Center, for yet another year, the support for the campaign has been spectacular. On the one hand, there has been a self-protection and care workshop for women in collaboration with the local Police and the Red Cross, which was attended by 50 women.

On the other hand, different officials from the municipal corporation and Aqualia staff have met at the Sports Center to give the jump into the pool against gender violence under the motto, In the face of gender violence, we get wet. Among them, Javier Scotto di Tella, 6th deputy mayor and councilor delegate in matters of citizen security and with special delegation in matters of equality and diversity; Rafael Carrió, 1st deputy mayor and vice mayor, councilor delegate in matters of youth, sports, public health, housing and normalization and with special delegation in matters of formation of the municipal budget and bases of its execution for each financial year; Valentín Alcalá, councilor with special delegation in matters of sports and youth; and mario vidal, councilor with special delegation in matters of sewer development.

council Members Rafa Carrió and Valen Alcalá have now been joined by all those clients and workers of the sports center who have shown solidarity and have added their drop of water against gender violence. In total, about 50 people jumped.

Furthermore, throughout this week, the workers and users of the centers have shown their solidarity through their photos. The sum of all of them will be transformed into financial aid to finance the 'Employment Camp' of the Adecco 2024 Foundation, aimed at women in vulnerable situations, victims of gender violence, victims of trafficking, women with single-parent family responsibilities and women long-term unemployed over 55 years old. In 2023, thanks to the aqualiacontigo.com campaign, the company contributed to the training of 15 women through a training and career orientation workshop.

The company participated in the last edition as a financing company in 7 training workshops, allowing the beneficiaries to improve their skills and knowledge necessary for searching for employment. This initiative aims to overcome the barriers that these women encounter in attending employment workshops due to their limited economic resources and lack of family support. For a week, they will be able to focus on their job search while their children enjoy some leisure and free time.

Aqualia has financed this camp since 2019. Since then, 49 women have attended, 85% of whom have found work. Aqualia is one of the collaborating companies with the 'Woman Program' of the Adecco Foundation, which promotes the qualification of women to be able to apply for decent, quality jobs with special demand in the labor market.
The program has 208 beneficiaries in different situations: victims of gender violence or trafficking, single-parent women or women at risk of social exclusion.

Convinced that employment is the instrument par excellence for the autonomy, independence and normalization of the lives of female victims, Aqualia has collaborated again in the preparation of the 11th report on Gender Violence and Employment of the Adecco Foundation, to make visible the importance of bringing together and accompanying female victims in their labor inclusion.

The development of these actions is part of the company's commitment to equality materialized in the III Aqualia Equality Plan, which promotes measures and actions to achieve equity between both genders. In this Plan, the company is committed to guaranteeing the rights of victims of gender violence included in the Workers' Statute, on the occasion of the entry into force of Organic Law 1/2004 on Comprehensive Protection Measures against Gender Violence. Gender, and to raise awareness among the workforce through different communication actions. Specifically, and within this same Campaign, Aqualia is distributing information panels so that all the company's professionals know and detect through certain patterns when a situation of violence arises, how to understand it and how to fight against it. The United Nations insists, for yet another year, that violence against women continues to be an obstacle to achieving equality, development and peace, as well as respect for the human rights of women and girls. The promise of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to leave no one behind cannot be fulfilled without first ending violence against women and girls.

This action is part of the activities that Aqualia has been carrying out as a company with the distinctive «Equality in the Company», which is granted by the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equality and which this year has been extended to the company for five more years.
